With "endless" asteroids I think grabbing most of the surface metals and stopping for more stuff when needed is a viable strategy, so i will mostly pick a direction (away from the sun?) and find the stuff i need when i need it. Since then i have been in a deep Creative Building phase, where i am creating a ship for a new glorious journey, this time with projectors to define the ship and modularity to allow travelling while building and mining. Just sensors and timers are more intuitive than, are a lot more fun than, and train more logical skills than redstone. I then had a couple months where i was in a faraway land digging square holes with other square people.Īfter a while the Timer update was out, and i felt they gave sensors a deeper meaning and methods. I decided the ship was stocked enough for the long haul trek, went into a medbay and logged off. As there is no objective, I give myself the backstory of being left behind/forgotten when a survey ship deemed the field habitable/exploitable, with orders/suggestions to build a ship big enough to get back home/to the battlefield.Įnded up with a (what i thought of at the time) massive ship in various stages of completeness. I had a single player survival game going many months ago where I started with easy start 2(?), removed "Red 1" and "Blue 2" but kept the small ships for parts.
